   Works exactly as I hoped, shoots little “water snake” about 4 feet in the air, my dog happily nabs it, and repeats 5000x until he’s soaked and muddy. Pure comedy, and such a happy dog. He’s a bit of a wingnut - and incredibly intelligent - I pushed the pedal with a stick, he caught the water, causing him to land on the pedal - he had function figured out inside 60 seconds. Had to put this out of sight, or he barks at it when the water is off. He would play with it 24/7 if he could.

The lever/ pad part your dog jumps on is super easy to work for the dog. LOVE LOVE LOVE I tried to upload the video but it wouldn’t let me. Hilarious

   Was surprised at how well this works - our dog is a huge fan; he hasn’t quite gotten the hang of it yet, but I am certain he will when we start using it more next summer! For now, he goes over and stares at it until I remind him to put his paw on it, which is mostly my fault because I don’t keep the water on continuously so he knows it doesn’t always work. Easy to drink, great if you have a dog that gets his water bowl full of dirt like it’s an art form. I would recommend getting your own 3-way hose adapter if you need access to your hose while keeping this plugged in - this does come with one, but it’s very cheaply made (plastic) and leaks a fair bit. The fountain itself is well-made but you can tell the adapter is just a freebie.
