   My spoiled rescue kitties have a lot of toys, to make up for their early years with no toys. While they will play with just about anything, whether it is a toy or not, these balls with bells are their favorite toy above everything else. They like it best if I throw the balls for them to chase, but if not, they'll happily bat the things around on their own, knock them down the stairs, or pick them up and carry them somewhere. The bells in these seem to have a preferred sound over similar balls I've gotten from local pet stores, as the ones from elsewhere are ignored. The only downside to these balls is they are just small enough to get pushed under furniture during intense play sessions, and then I have to go find them and fish them out.

   After watching our kitten abandon other toys for a simple piece of string or wire ties, I was thrilled at how much he loves these. He plays with them every day, and whines for me to retrieve them when they go under the furniture where he can't reach. My only negative note is that after buying these on Amazon I found the exact same pack of balls at my local dollar store, so I was a bit bummed about the pricing. Still, these have been a great way to channel our kitten's energy, and the other day I even caught our 12-year-old cat batting one around briefly.

   They have a little bit of rolling resistance compared to regular ping pong balls but the pros outweigh that. They have a little springy ess to them which helps kitty get it out of corners. One slap and it springs out if the corners. The grooves help her get them out from around wires too and she can pick it up as well, better than a completely smooth ball. Also, the fact that she can see the bell inside, keeps her interest longer than regular ping pong balls with bells in them.
