   I wasn't, however, prepared for the high quality of this lamp. It blew us both away! This is NOT a small lamp; it is heavy, well constructed, and it has presence. It would not be missed, in any room. Once we arranged the salt crystals to our liking, and flipped on the switch, we both simultaneously let out a BIG, 'ahhhhhhhh!' We would never have believed that such a small light bulb, would illuminate every crystal, to the point of appearing like a basket of fire. It actually looked inviting, like if we held our hands over it, we could warm them. And, the glow that filled the room was beautiful---not to mention complementary to every complexion. The crystals remained just slightly warm, even when the lamp was on for several hours.

   This is so pretty. I'm obsessed with salt lamps. I have 5 different ones. I always look for one that has a dimmer when I'm getting the solid one. I usually keep it on medium and it gives off a perfect glow. I like that you can arrange the rocks how you want. It's messy when you do it but afterwards no mess. It's heavy too. I put mine on a riser you can get nice ones from Target in the bullseye section. That way if there's any water it won't ruin my tables. But so far that never happened. I keep all mine on 24/7. If I'm going out of town than I turn them off. And I plug them in surge protectors because I have them on all the time. The dimmer switch does not get hot either. Always good to check. Highly recommend for anyone that likes this kind of stuff

   This is the most amazing thing I never knew about. I came across it by accident as I was in the market for a lamp, saw the claims of improving air quality and thought, it's pretty anyway and if it cleans the air, bonus. Well, I put it in my bedroom that has always had this musty smell that I have constantly been trying to get rid of. A day after I had this lamp plugged in, the air smelled amazing, and it was so pleasant. I found myself walking into the room for now reason just because it was so nice in there. It seems to work much better in a small areal like a bedroom. In my living room with vaulted ceilings it just doesn't have much of a noticeable affect - probably to much space. My daughter has always had a problem with croup. Well this year, when she started with a little hoarsness in her voice as always I knew it was coming, but then I remembered this lamp and some of the claims of others and thought I would put it in her room and just see if it made a difference. She has not gotten croup this entire school year, even when she started to sound like it was coming on, it never has. She even told me she feels so much less congested with it in her room. The only problem now is I want one for all the rooms in the house. There is much dispute about whether it really produces negative ions or not, but the effects support that it definatley has beneficial qualities, placebo or otherwise, I love the lamp.

I was looking for all natural solutions for air purification as well as something to neutralize positive ions that are produced by all the technology, electronic devices and appliances we have in our home.    For 3 days, my children have been coughing during the day and a LOT at night. Toddler and infant. We do everything we can to avoid antibiotics, so we went full force with all the natural options we could find for them. The salt lamp was impressive! I turned it on right away, shut the bedroom door, left the fan on low to circulate the air, and let it run all day. Then I put baby in there to sleep at night. The salt lamp was the only thing we did differently from the night before- and she slept great! Coughing was reduced over 50% from the night before. She slept a solid 6 hours, like she usually does (the night before she was up every hour or so from the coughing).

   Absolutely fascinating. I'd done the research on the benefits of Himalayan salt rocks/lamps and thought I'd give it a try. My interest was first sparked by a large salt rock candle holder I'd seen at a local restaurant and was attracted by its pinkish hue. One of my sister's is one of those new age hippies and had one as a lamp in her bedroom. Her room has always been a war zone/science lab but never smelled like rotting carcass, like sulfur, or molding cheese like you'd expect, so (because of the research I'd previously done) I assumed it was because of the rock and its air purifying capabilities. I made the leap and purchased this one. At first I was interested in just a large solid rock with a light in the center, exactly like my sister's, but since we're siblings, I thought I would out do her and buy one a little more intricate. The package was heavy (probably because it's quite literally a box of rocks), but the lamp was well protected. Once all the bubble wrap was removed, I easily inserted the light and intricately placed each rock around the bulb right where I wanted them. My favorite park is the dimmer. So far I've constantly had it on "high" and no signs of any problems like other reviewers have had... No cord issues, plug in issues, dimmer, light bulb burn out, etc., nothing. The glow from the light through the rocks is a little more orangish, rather than pink, but when you Instagram your new toy, just use the Valencia filter and it'll look more pinkish like you anticipated. The "high" settle also gives off enough light where it's not disruptive while you sleep or watch Netflix in the dark, but emits enough light to guide you back to your room without stubbing your toes or stepping on the cat. Overall, I'm pretty impressed.
