Steel toe, extra cushion in the sole, and the thread is made with a stronger material than the regular amber looking plastic they use. I haven't has a single slip and let me tell you; I like to move quick so that's impressive. I keep flexing them to my coworker too aha

I was up and down stairs, and walked around quite a bit without a complaint. The right boot was a little snug across the top of my arch when I first tried them on, but by midday they felt fine.

   After reading many reviews, both good and bad, I prepared for the horror of lacing up a pair of boots that hadn't been broken in yet. The last time I broke in a pair of boots was in the Air Force and you just had to gut it out, wear them through the pain and eventually they would come to you. I found a pair of thick socks and, risking a foot cramp, jumped straight into these new boots even though I had eaten dinner less than 30 minutes earlier. I was prepared for the worse; quick removal

   As a gift to myself for graduating college, I purchased the Dr. martens I have always wanted. I picked the vegan boots because I don't really like owning leather. I had read online that the vegan boots do not need breaking in, but the boots are a little stiff so I have been doing the “breaking in” process regardless. I ordered my size and they are surprisingly comfortable. I have more room in the toe box than I anticipated. Overall I love love love the boots.

   I have had a few pairs of steel-toe boots, some Dr. Marten's and I haven't loved any like I love these boots. I spent some time working on a ship, and while my last pair of Dr. Marten's were just as durable, I wished I had a pair of slip-ons. These are very good looking, easy to care for, comfortable, and protect you very effectively. My only issue with the boots is that my big toe rubs a little bit on the outside since the toe-box fits very slightly loose. I have had that same issue in the past with other boots, and these boots actually don't give me as much trouble as others have. I think it's a side-effect of having the big steel-toe space.
