   Had until recently a '74 restomod Stingray with a strongly built 400 SBC with very, very high compression. Starting was hit-or-miss with an 850A brand new battery. Charged this monster up and stowed behind passenger seat. When I wouldn't start, I'd attach it and it would immediately fire up every time. Highly recommended. Oh, and do plan to charge it overnight when (not if) you get it.

   I use this to jumpstart my F150 and to power a compressor to inflate tires. It stands up to a lot of demand and holds a charge very well. I got the fast charger and recommend that too. I did not get a case because I have anther tool bag that serves well to keep all the bits in one place. This charger is easy to use and stores neatly with its minimal footprint. I bought it because the mechanic at my work looked me straight in the eye and said "This is the best tool I've ever bought". I believe him.

   We hadn't had this but a week, before someone needed a jump start, thank goodness I had fully charged it the day we received it. About 2 weeks later my zero-turn battery took a dump in the middle of mowing. I was able to connect this, start it with no issues and get it back to the shop. It's easy to use so I would recommend having one for the son or daughter that has issues remembering to turn stuff off in their vehicle (and inconvieiencing Mom or Dad to come jump start their vehicle). There is an adapter set available to charge from your 110V house recepticle, sold separetely. So easy to use, a caveman could do it :)

   Only had it like 5 months but used often as traveling. Only thing wrong I see is button to turn flashlight on and thing on is just a button and gets pressed easily sometimes turning it on without me knowing. Be nice if they changed that to a slide button that can't get bumped on easily.

   Decent piece of equipment. Lended it out to a friend of a coworker who was having car battery troubles and managed to jump start it twice without incident. It still retained it's full battery when I got it back. It's been about two months since that happened and it's still at full battery. Pretty nifty if your battery is acting up and the integrated safety measures definitely makes this a fool-proof device if you're not too car savvy. Safety measures can be disabled, if you so choose, with a light indicator to show that their off, but won't accidentally happen since it requires you to press and hold the right button for a certain amount of time while it's on. The front facing light is decent for illuminating what's immediately in front of you, but won't have much reach besides that.

   I would suggest you have never had such a powerful unit in such a small package if you haven't used this type of charger before and have only used battery cables. IT CAN supply more then enough power to start any size vehicle minus commercial rated vehicles- transport trucks. They do sell a charger specifically for that. Unit recharges easily as well. Excellent size to tuck away when not in use. And safety proof so you can't attempt a charge improperly. Especially with all the sensitive electronic devices in our vehicles today, you dont want to blow the system in your vehicles. This unit is one of those "idiot proof" systems. Excellant gift they can throw in the trunk and use for outdoor activities when you may want to recharge electronic devices like tablets, cellphones etc. It does it all. Absolute best buy product.

   I would say this is a must have for any driver. Incase your battery goes out on you or even if you have a dead batter down for a while (there is a mode specifically for this and I've see in work). Its hard now to even get a jump start from another car because of the new model designs your mechanic would advise you not to jump start any other vehicle. SO with this in my car I have no issues of being stuck on the road because of a dead car battery.
