Perfectly appropriate for work and durable enough that I'm not afraid to wear it on the weekends. I really wanted a gold and silver tone watch with a stretchy band, easy to read numbers, and a date display, that also was still somewhat feminine on my wrist. Was a little big for my wrist even when I took a link out. I have medium to large bones, so I'd characterize it as more of a bracelet watch than one that fits more tightly. It's probably the only slight downside - the face is large so it tends to sit underneath my wrist because of its weight, rather than on top. Not a problem for me.
